Ds3r - mpg?

What are people getting from their DS3R's?

I ain't too fussed as I currently get 28mpg so anything above that I am happy with!

Usually around 30-40 mpg, my average says 37.1 Obviously drops lower than that when you put your foot down though!

Wow!! 37!! Jesus ....that's pretty impressive :-) I will be extremely happy if I see those kinds of figures.

With a THP its more less a worry of what the miles per gallon is but more miles to breakdown MTB

I love the THP it grunts like a beauty i am in awe of it (i have the 115 diesel) and i've driven the THP's but they aren't particularly reliable as you can see from countless threads on the forum. But its what ever suits you, even with the diesels there is problems .. and again some people have loads of issues and others not. Luck of the draw.

As with anything (and has been said before) owners with no issues are v unlikely to come to the forum and praise the THP, human nature is to complain when you have issues......... Hence why you'll see a lot of posts suggesting that the vast majority of THP owners are ok with theirs....

Exactly this. I've had 2 THPs, both with no issues.

THP's but they aren't particularly reliable as you can see from countless threads on the forum.

Go on any car forum and you will mostly see complaints, how many happy stories are reported by the media/ Exactly.

Ive had my 2010 THP (38000 miles) from new and the only thing ive had to pay for (and it was my decision to change it) was the HPFP. Never had a breakdown or component failure although it went into limp mode once but since i had the HPFP changed its been 100% fine (and its been tuned for over 2 years now) ive had it walnut blasted.

36 - 37 mpg since I've had the car, 2.5k miles. Love it, not seen another since I bought mine in November. It has the occasional stutter but it's not using much oil and I've had no issues with it.

These MPG figures are music to my ears!!! I had my budget calculator excel sheet set to 30mpg on the new motor ....I will nudge that up now!!

And yes I agree on the negative stories on forums. I joined the forum world with the first DS3 as I had Timing chain issues ......I then joined the Audisport forum and again had Turbo wastegate rattling issues ..... People generally come on these forums to complain to get info on an issue. There are also the good things. ....pictures ...new car day ...Detailing sections ....

BUT ....nobody comes onto a forum to say "My car is working fine" ....cuz what's the point in that? lol

And And And ......even if there are a few little bugs .... with the cost difference to my S3 and the MPG saving .... I can deal with it :-)

Cant wait to collect it !!!!! (I have fell out with my S3 now)
