I recently had my DS3R rebuilt - sounded sweet
Shortly afterwards - A metalic noise in rev range 2800 -3200 only - Took it to a Citroen main dealer - "It's the valve problem" - MMpphh ok, the engine was
rebuilt and cleaned 2,000 months ago, had a PCV Delete mod, new oil, And I always run it on the best petrol. So Unlikely. The warrantly company would not pay
out as it does not pay for cleaning the back of coked valves! - Neither companies would give me a copy of the report - I though under some law they have to?
Freedom of information act ?
I was sure and lots of mates told me it was it was a sticky tappet.
I kept driving it lightly while trying to get the reports about the valves, as I was sure it was a TAPPET!!
Anyway, M27 middle lane, the conrod decided to snap and go through the block etc
Funny thing is, my mate took the oil filler cap off, and said some of the tappets have movement, but one is rock hard.
The warranty company won't pay out for a rebuild / new engine as I didn't have the £5 - £600 valve clean - It's now apparently up to me to prove the valves
are clean, by supplying an engineer etc.
Information on rights of information about my car and reports on it would be useful,
