Will a 5fs engine fit into a DS3R

I just wondered if anybody new if a 5fs code engine would fit into a DS3R ?

I'm not personally aware of anybody doing an engine swap with the DS3R other than the numerous members whom have suffered engine failures and had citroen drop a new unit in for them.

Out of interest what car is the engine from?

This particular unit is from a 2011 Peugeot 207 and has the engine code "5fs" - It is a "1.6L Petrol 16v '5FS' "

The variant of engine you mention 5fs although it's a 1.6 16valve it is not the THP variant, and so will NOT be compatible for the DS3R.

I do indeed know what the difference is, and trust me on this, it's too long a list to items everything, all you need to know is, the 5Fs and the THP are completely different engine, you are wasting your time, if you think a 5Fs engine will be compatible to the DS3R.

The problems you would entail, besides mounting issues are, and these are just a few of a very very long list:

Fuel system.

Wiring, including ECU.

Cooling system.

Exhaust system.

Etc etc etc.

My best advice is, purchase either a Peugeot 207 GTI 5Fx engine or the BMW MINI JCW N14 engine, and before you ask, yes, they are the exact same engines.
