I don't agree with many things he says, he says he is a lover of french hot hatches but when you finish reading you get the opposite feeling

      Sorry Guys I Agree,

I've Driven One And When I Compare It To The Likes Of Other Hot Hatchbacks I've Driven Like Clio Sports/ Clio V6 / Mini JCW / Golf GTi / Astra VXR + A Mapped Ibiza Cupra, The DS3R Just Cant Keep Up In The Throttle Responsiveness Area, He Was A Lil Harsh In The Handling Part Of The Review Yes As I Think The R Handles Like A Dream When At Speed But The Acceleration Just Isn't There =(

Interesting that he says you can't feel the torque steer through the steering wheel, assuming he has actually driven one, he was obviously in a completely different car to the one I have because I feel every bit of torque steer through the wheel and it pulls wildly along with consistent flashing of the ESP light!

Mine doesn't feel fast to accelerate, but I think that's just the way the car relays it inside if you know what I mean, a glance at the speedo quickly reveals that it is accelerating rapidly. It goes like I'd expect, it is a turbo after all.

Mate do you still feel the torque steer on decent road surfaces as well or only when you put your foot down to hard.

Only when you really floor it, but to be honest it's perfectly controllable, I really enjoy the drive with it to be honest, I've just dropped from a 480 BHP V8 that was extremely tail happy, and I find the DS3R a joy to drive all round, fantastic handling, so much more refined than any hot hatch I've ever owned in the past.

I'm fairly sure this is a re-print of an article that was written when only the prototype was around (Oct-Nov 2010) for publishers to review/preview, and juding from the image used on the site I could be right. The car changed a little (at least according to some) from the prototype to the final model, in a good way.

"Accelerate hard on an undulating road, and the front wheels tug the DS3 R from side to side in a bout of the "torque steer" once all too common in powerful cars with front-wheel drive. Yet you feel none of this through the steering. That's disappointing."
                - When i accelerate hard, i feel every bit of torque steer.
