  • Rattle/knock

After digging round the ds3r engine I've found were the knock/Rattle is coming from underneath the inlet manifold Inbetween the head and block had the bottom end checked and it's all good thank god! so looks like a head off job to check the valves gaskets and top of the pistons and check for pre ignition witch I hope it's not I will get down to this after all the trouble I've had its not getting the better of me and considering useless Citroen won't look at it or do anything ill do it my self once again once this knock/rattles done she'll be finally ok I'll say something tho I've learnt a lot with this unreliable engine

Your not hearing the injectors are you? They can be quite noisy.

Just let it run on 3 cylinders for a few seconds and disconnect each injector. Then you'll know. Injector noises have been mistaken for tappets (i have...). You really can't get to em, but if you put a long metal rod on the injector and put your ear next to the other end, you should be able to figure out which injector it is. If it's only one that is.
