Ds3r blown ecu

Hi guys... i just purchased a racing... non runner..
blown ecu was the issue... well thats what i thought. I cant seem to find a second hand ecu in south africa as we only have 10 in the country and cant afford brand new 1. I have installed a thp 155 ecu and bsi set in the car... i starts up... revs up nice... but when i take off it seems to choke... back fire... pop... then gets going but car has no power and seems flat..the exhaust fumes smell very rich.
mods on the the car...
wossner pistons
head ported an polished
63mm exhaust decat
garrett gt28 turbo.
what i have done so far was....
Changed high pressure fuel pump
changed plugs
changed coils
checked timing
not sure what to do next.... i know the ecu is wrong but i am under the impression that the car should run as thp 155 or atleast decently then i was planning to remap the ecu to cater for all the mods.
any advise......

If you can get something like TorquePro, monitor the fuel trims and see if that's showing up too rich.

I assume you cleaned the valves while polishing the head?

This might be fuel trim related. Altho, the racing uses a diffrent map and will need tuning if you're using a 155 ecu. You can only use a different map when you immo off the old one or copy eeprom! Ktag needed for that.

If you traded in the 155 ecu on a modded car, no wonder it takes a crap. You have stage 2-3 mods that need appropriate tuning. Don't run it until maps are fixed!
