bonnet strut/ lifters

Had a quick look on the lovely search box up top right and couldn't seem find anything maybe it not as good on my phone as it would be on laptop..

But anyway s any one fitted gas shocks to they bonnets to hold them open? If so where can I get some from how hard are they to fit thanks in advance

Theres a thread about this in the full member section, one of the suppliers that WTF has arranged to be on the site said they might be able to source them if enough owners are interested.

Demon Tweeks do them for approx £90 but we're hoping for a more sensibly priced kit

I think this mod would be a definite winner for all DS3 owners if there was a way of getting them fitted without any fuss.

I would love some would rly make a world of diff.. as I won't chrome/ polished pipes and blue hoses and a few bit dipped in stuff so would set my finished product off

Bonnet lifters are on the 'to do' list at Team Torquesteer. Just releasing a LHD version of the Mk7 Fiesta and doing the Renault Megane. Fingers crossed the DS3 will follow that. Price will be about the same as the Fiesta ie £50 approx.

Will post details as/when we have them.
