  • Project injection kit Water/Methanol Citroen DS3 THP

    Hi
    My name is Adrian
    I am from Argentina.
In my country I buy a water / methanol injection kit AEM V2.

You can explain how to properly install in my car? This is a Citroen DS3 THP

I've read the instructions and AEM.

My question is where to put the nozzle in the methanol and take the pressure sensor

    Regards

Welcome! Not sure myself, but I expect someone will be along to advise you.

Jamie will be able to help, he has WMI although he said he wouldn't fit it until after he had walnut blasted the internals.

You will need a map sensor adaptor as there are no boost lines to tap into. The adaptor would go between the map sensor and the intake manifold where it mounts and provide the port that you need for the kits controller. It looks like http://altaperformance.com/i-1400715...bo-engine.html ( just one example there are other makes) The MAP sensor is located on top of the intake manifold under the air box. http://altaperformance.com/attachment/74747-.pdf

For the location of the nozzle ask Jamie or Ragnarok either should be able to help

That looks very similar to a part that came with my Forge recirc valve.

That is because it is basically the same thing

Like Cyclone said, you need to install that adapter between MAP sensor and intake manifold. Regarding the nozzle I would recommend installing it post-intercooler. I installed mine as close as possible to intake manifold.

Here you can see few pictures how I installed it on Forge IC pipe.

mrx_dj. I am surprised all the information is not in the manual
Maybe take it to a specialist to put in so its %100 perfect?

Best place to put the nozzle is in boost pipe which crosses over to the back of the engine, before the MAP/IAT sensor. Having it here the sensor will read the cooler AIT temps and be less likely to pull back on boost and or spark advance.

Isn't it the one I put it on or did I screw up?

Do you think my engine at risk by installing a system of injection of V2 AEM water / methanol?

The car has a full exhaust system, panel filter K & N and chip. The dyno test is 190hp.

Jamie may correct me if I am wrong but as far as I know there are no risks related to the WMI itself. Only risk may be if carbon deposits get loose cause detonation. I had some detonation during the first days.

I apologize for the incorrect use of language, I try to use translators.

Again, I am very grateful. Your answer to my query are very useful for me.

How much power increases with the injection of water / methanol?

I will use the original turbo and intercooler.

I don't know. Without tune you will probably lose HP.
