I have the 115HDI. I find that when accelerating hard the car jerks as I change gears. Not sure if I'm not giving enough gas before and after the gear change? But it doesn't seem very smooth. Usually change at 3000-3500rpm. Is that right for the diesel? Torque is pretty good. Especially impressive 0-30 from 1st to 2nd gear. Must hit 30mph within a second!

Sounds like your dropping the clutch to fast when changing gear

Agreed. Trying lifting the clutch more slowly to allow better transfer....I should never have doubted the Lord of Bacon!!

only other thing it could be is a loose or broken engine/gearbox mount, but as you have said chaging gear when hard accelerating then the clutch sounds like it is enagaging to quickly.

I suppose another point is that hard accelerating and smooth gear changes don't normally live on the same sentence......I should never have doubted the Lord of Bacon!!
