Remapping these thps for bhp near or more than a ds3r is that asking for trouble like ds3r with pistons residing to move on to a better life or are they a bit more stable than the ds3r.. I would love to get mine mapped when my front mount from forge is on but just that voice in my head is telling my to behave and don't risk it.. but my heart is telling me to do it like a giggling devil
^ Would agree that the increased heat in running a map on a THP is a risk, but many do and dont have too much trouble. Above 200BHP the risks increase, so lots of increased cooling needed, and oil regularly changed. Think pstons on the 155 and Racing are the same, altho the Racings ceased production in 2011, so maybe the later THPs pistone were subject to more stringent quality procedures.
you could get a stainless steel exhaust put in from the catalytic converter back for anything between £4-800 i reckon, whether that be custom or pre-made, and its up to you whether you have a mid resonator (Silencer) which if you dont have would make it louder, and a bit cheaper.
That would gain you about 3BHP but you get the noise, and if you then get a Sports Catalytic converter fitted,(200 cspi) round £4/450, that would probably get you an extra 8BHP on top of the 3 BHP of the new exhaust.
So ultimate more power and noise would be anything between £800 to £1200 dependant on what you buy.
