I note they say the clips are damaged and it's collection only. The sellers thinks the new units are £1,900 for the pair from a dealer although through the forum you can get these at a discount I'd have thought.

Hi guys,

I'm planning to do this upgrade on my 10/2010 DS3 1.6 VTi 120.

Thanks to everybody who contributed here (in particular MARK.A and THP165) , this leaves me with just the need for some clarifications:

- What about the screws needed for fixing the ballasts to the headlights as mentioned by Mark (the ones that were missing first) - do they have a part number or any other more detailed specifications?

- Regarding the issue quintinf mentioned (turn signals not working): Did anyone else who switched experience this? Just asking because I had enquired my local Citroën dealer first and he told me that the new headlights would be electrically incompatible to older models. What model year are your cars?

The ballasts only push in to bottom of lights into a recess you just need some small self tapping screws .....
mine was a2011 model they will fit has all the connections are the same And its clear who you've spoken to don't know what there talking about they even use same fixing screws has old head lights

Wow thanks Mark for your instant reply, even more impressive given that you don't drive the model anymore. Now that's one kind of forum spirit!
And yes that's what I've also thought. I gave them a chance to sell parts and labour, they failed greatly so now I'm just doing it on my own

Once you've got the front bumper off it takes about 15 mins preside to change over once you have the original lights out don't forget to pull out the plastic buffers out has lights don't fit see pictures above took me about 4 hours from start to finish the 2 bolts each side that hold the bumper to wing are a right pain in the arse

I confirm what Mark said. In France as well, dealers told me it wasn't compatible, but it is totally plug&play.
My car was sold in Brazil, so I am not sure it would help, but it was manufactured en 2012.

Thanks THP165, especially also for your detailed step-by-step picture manual, which will make the exchange a piece of cake :redface: Just hope my mechanics mate's got appropriate tools Mark so those infamous bolts won't be that much of a PITA...
Just placed the order at Citroën Auch, looking forward for the parts to arrive. Also got myself the 3D LED rear lights so my car will look like a genuine 2014 model soon
