Alloy Footrest

Has anyone fitted one?
I fitted mine today and the drilling template bares no relation in shape to the
place the foot rest goes in the car
Also the hole drilling positions don't match the holes on the footrest
So I positioned it where it looked right and drilled the first hole
all I hit was carpet!
In the end I just screwed the remaining 3 screws into the carpet and sound proofing
Seems to be held ok,see how it goes
Have I done something wrong?

I think this is about right. I'm tempted to grab one too. I know a few people have them so I'm sure someone will help soon

I just lined mine up and screwed the self-tapping screws into the carpet/foam wedge to the left of the clutch pedal. Really easy to do, no drilling needed

The shape thing is because the footrests are made to fit a L/H drive car. Even on that they just screw into the carpet and padding. So you have done everything right! Enjoy!

Like most of the other replies. No need to drill - just use the self tappers into the carpet. I did that almost a year ago and the footrest is still in place - safe and secure

They're an official Citroen part, available from your dealer. Also available from Partsworld-UK and probably eBay too.
