Changed bulbs for Flasher (translated right?) : PY21W

So I changed the indicator lights ..
From the 'ugly' PY21W Orange bulb to a PY21W Chrome bulb !
Gives a cleaner look!

What do you guys think?

Assuming that it flashes orange, then its legal, and yes it looks better

Curiously mine already has silvered bulbs at the rear, but the crap orange ones at the front

Just swapped mine around, while at it I discovered that the information in the handbook is wrong about the bulb types that are fitted.
Book says that sidelight is P5W and brake/sidelight is P21/5W, what is actually fitted (and is also stamped on the housing) are 2 P21/5W lamps with only the 5w filament in sue for the sidelight.
So if one BRAKE light fails simply swap the 2 bulbs around.

I wonder if the CAN bus system is configured to detect a brake light bulb failure and switch to the second bulb?.......Easy enough to test I spose

Can't possibly do that as the 2nd bulb only has one physical connection not 2, so the 21w filament cannot be used other that my manually changing the bulbs around

Oh well that's another theory outta the window then - someone at the factory must have ordered too many dual filament bulbs.............or did they change the design at the last minute?

Somewhere on t'internet I've seen a suggestion that the small rectangles in a line along the top of the rear light cluster were originally intended to be LEDs - was it on the French DS3Spirit forum perhaps?

Whats the law on indicator lamps then- do they have to be ORANGE?
Does the perspex have to be ORANGE
Can you have WHITE indicator bulbs? or YELLOW mebes
What colours can you get away with for indicators?

wotever happens there has to be orange flash. so if u have clear lens thn bulbs to hav orange flash or if u have orange lens then bulb can b clear

( mite get away with yellow depends how it looks)
