lights come on when unlocking car?

Hi guys,
Was wondering I have the guide me home set to 60 seconds which is great but is there any way we could make the sidelights/headlights or drls come on for so long when unlocking the car?
I know there's no setting for it but what would the best way to mod it to make it happen?

My previous C4 had a button on the keyfob that turned the headlights on or off, which I found pretty useful. Shame this was not a feature carried over to the DS3.

You'll tend to find smaller cars have less features, thus most likely why its missing from the DS3.

Why would you need this over the stand 'Guide Me Home' lights??

In theory quite easy, You could run a bypass wire from your internal light, connect this to your DRL's, this way when you lock, unlock the car and the interior light goes on and off, the DRL's would do so aswell.

Done right, this wouldn't affect the normal running of your DRL's as it would work as a 2nd power supply. Everything is possible, but not really worth it for the gain

Its essentially the same concept as wiring in footwell lights...

Can't really see any need for this unless you live in permanent darkness. Even then, you can just press the lock button on the remote to flash the hazards and you'll see the car enough to walk over / get in.

Just have your butler sit in the car and wait for you to unlock it, then he can turn the lights on for you.

In my case, my parking space is 30 yards down a farm track, and with no street lights in my village I need a torch when walking to the car in case I tread in anything.

anyone figured this out yet, trying to make my front DRL and rear led turn on when unlocking the car for about 15 seconds.
