  • Painting Break Calipers

Hey, I was wondering if anybody's gotten around to painting their calipers yet? Considering doing mine but not sure what it'd look like. If you've had a go, pictures would be welcome.

Alright thanks guys they look great by the way! I'm kind of sick of the dull colour, but not sure what colour to paint them...I've got an all black (roof, body, alloys) ds3, but want to keep it a subtle look. Torn between black and red, any suggestions?

Reds the standard colour, black may be too subtle on an all black car
          Get heatproof decals as well

Yeah I guessed it may be the standard colour, I would go blue but I have nothing blue on the car. Even my interior is black and white two tone leather with a carbon fibre dash, so that doesn't really work. Black with red decals could work. Do you have a link for the heatproof decals?

That's great, thanks. I'll take a look now. any advice on specific paints? Would prepping them by rubbing them down with some wire wool and using some caliper cleaner suffice?

Just got specific caliper heat proof paint for mine. I got matt paint to start, but refreshed them with gloss paint and they looked much better
Cos they were painted from when i got the car new, didnt prep much
Just wiped over with meths and away i went

I think it looks great with the red and red alloy caps. How did you get the Citroen writing on there? If it's a decal, where did you get it from? I've been looking everywhere for a black decal and it seems as if there aren't any anywhere!
