Towbar - Fixed or Detachable ??

I've been thinking about getting a towbar on my DS3 (for light trailer use and bike carrier).

But i've heard that a fixed towbar would "confuse" the parking sensor ?? is that right ??
We allways been having the fixed one in the family, cause why remove something that actually protects your rear bumper, especially in the city where other people can't park, then a towbar sticking out is better than a bumper .

I've contacted Citroen in Poland to get a prize (im going there anyway this summer, then why not get it the cheapest place).

A detachable one, with wiring, a 7-pin socket and working hours would run me in about £511
A fixed one incl. the above would run me in about £398
