I had some red ones and they looked amazing, but after my accident I got all scared and took them out as I hadn't declared them!

Hi sorry for bumping an old thread.. Can somebody recommend some good red footwell lights that are easy to fit and turn on when the standard DS3 ones turn on?

Thanks! I'm no mechanical or electrician!

An LED Strip is a strip of LED's mounted on some backing plastic. To mount them to the car you'll need some which have a positive and negative cable coming from them (or to add these yourself).

You can use any colour LED's you'd like, the only thing you need to do is to connect this to a power supply. The ones connected to the footwell lights will mean your strips only turn on when your footwell lights are on (doors open / sidelights on / main beam on).

IIRC, there's two cables connected to the light; purple & green/yellow.

Connect your positive to purple, negative to green and yellow and you're good to go

Fantastic! Thank you! So just any LED strip with a positive/negative will do the trick? And I assume you have to pull out the existing mood lights in the footwell to get to the wires etc?

                            Thanks again
