  • Brembo brakes from 406 V6

I have searched the forum and the Internet, but couldn’t find the accurate information: I had seen that the Brembo brakes from 406 V6 would fit the DS3 with no other change, so I bought them and brought them from France.
My DS3 is a THP 165 (same as European THP 155/150).

Now I have seen some people writing that it is actually necessary to buy expanders (or side widener, I am not sure of the word) and maybe change the disks…

Has anyone here make that upgrade? Could you tell me what exactly needs to be changed?

    Thank you for your help!

    Hello, nobody?

I have an extra question: what would be the best disc to use for the Brembo calipers? The 305x28mm 406 ones?
Ans what about the rear breaks?

Personally if I were trying it off the top of my head would say go with the 406 disks. Get that all up and running and then see if you need to do anything to the rear. The fronts are doing most of the work stopping the car. The bigger calipers may screw up the brake balance may not. You are also changing the volume of brake fluid that needs to be moved to work the bigger calipers possibly messing up brake pedal travel and feel or necessitating a different master cylinder. That is just all negative thinking stuff and could all work out just fine, hoping it does point is get the fronts working before getting into anything else. 1 thing at a time so you know what is causing any problems you run into. Don't forget to let us know how it goes
