  • What is worth doing to the 1.6 Vti

Obviously no turbo means no real change from a map or no bigger turbo or dump valve etc,

however is there anything worth doing to the car such as a different exhaust system, or proper induction kit etc

Or would you say it is down to personal preference?

    Cheers in advance

        Check out Ds3 Norwich's thread

He has an induction kit and some other great mods.

I have the 120 for 4 years, pretty much came to the colclusion that there isn't much hope of any performance gains with the N/A engine.

Get a boot build, wrap and colour code parts to a theme. Light brows make a big difference to the front. Change the wheels, lower it. Make it your own!

This was my thread for my first DS3

If you want sound: induction kit, manifolds (from the DS3 R1) and an exhaust (this also give some horsepower)
And then cosmetic tuning: wheels, wrapping
And perfomance tuning aka suspension and new grippy tires (example: Federal RS-R 595)

Have fun with your naturally aspirated DS3
And if you want some extraordinary parts, look at the Citroen Racing Boutique [Link]

Firstly and most importantly, add lightness, then create a ram-air filtration setup, by that I mean, find a way to scoop clean air from the front grille section, the straighter the run the better, also the larger the mouth opening the better too, don't be fooled into getting a larger bore exhaust system, reason being, the larger the bore, the slower the exhaust gas velocity, and as you don't have a turbo or supercharger, you need to maintain very high exhaust gas velocity (small bore exhaust) for effective and efficient evacuation of the exhaust gas, this will retain good low down throttle response, which is where 99% of driving takes place.

If you really want a large bore exhaust, your low down throttle response will suffer, and you will find yourself driving around town in 2nd gear to maintain a good responsive throttle.
