Cat Back Exhaust

Hi Guys,

I really need to know wether i'm being mugged off or not. I have got a quote from Long-Life exhausts for a simple cat-back system for my 90HDI, they have quoted me £350 for
all the work and parts.


Does this sound about right or not?

I got a quote from MIJ exhausts Walsall for £264.99 for a CAT back

A price depends on what you get- pipe size to start
63mm, 54mm or less

Is pipe stainless steel, or composite / non steel

Then whether they bend it, or use pre made bends (Which are stronger)
Then backbox, mid res, fixings etc etc

You wouldn't believe what I paid for mine LOL
But.... bought it in Decem 2011, and should stay for the life of the car. Exhaust is already on its 2nd DS3 Ha!

Usually get what you pay for
