  • Cosmetic Upgrades

    Hi,

Just bought the wife a DS3 DStyle Auto (she only drives auto) picking up in a couple of weeks due to private number plate transfer
2012, 61 plate, Red with white roof, white mirrors 16 inch alloys and the best bit the lovely sports leather/alacantra trim

I know the headlamp bulbs on all new cars are long life bulbs and really poor so they will be changed .... what else is worth while doing?

    Welcome

I did some easy cosmetic changes on my first DS3 - The thread is HERE

    Light tops

Could wrap or plasti dip the chrome grill - white would look nice with the roof

Change the footwell lights, I have red ones now to match my roof.

Really easy thing to do if you have the non 3D rear lights is to swap the indicator bulbs over so the fronts don't appear orange

My recommendation for the bulbs are:
      Osram Night Breaker Unlimited H7 + H1
Osram Cool Blue Intense W5W (Position light)
Osram Diadem Chrome PY21W (Indicator light)

I have them all installed and I'm really pleased, because it looks better and you see more in the dark

And I would change the rims, really like 17" wheels on the ds3
Citroën DS³ // THP 155 // Body Ruby Red // Roof Moondust
DS³R Speedometer // 19" OEM Cairns // KW V3 Coilovers

I've just fitted Philips WhiteVision bulbs to mine and made a thread with some comparison photos if you want to have a look

My best upgrade so far are the new LED 3D lights to the rear.

On ebay buying 2nd hand and selling my old style lights the cost to change has been under £100 which to me is a bargain as it really makes an impact to the rear.

Upgrading the front bulbs to something with a higher colour temperature / brightness is a must also - hence I've bought Osram Cool Blue Intense bulbs all round.

Saw the new front signature LED lights today on another DS3 however and they look immense - next ebay challenge I think!

I painted my brake calipers red and IMHO they look good on an all black DS3
