On the subject of long term reliability I can give my example.
Re-mapped a long time and many miles ago.
Now well over 80,000 miles and still ultra reliable.

I a while ago you (I think it was you) were talking about some kind of widget that would allow you to take your remaps on an off remotely. If it was you, is there any news on this?

Either way, my car has passed it's warranty period, passed it's first MOT, and I haven't done anything to it. I wouldn't mind booking the car in for a remap. How easy is it to get booked in at your place?

Even if you could have a changeover switch from one standard ECU to another remapped one, wouldn't do the engine much good swapping between both
ECU's don't even like different types of fuel being used, let alone swapping the maps on the ECU's

Today went down to SP Tuning and got my 110 hdi remapped, 144.9 now. Big thanks to Jamie.

The point 5 makes stuff all difference but the 144 certainly does

Yeah my90had been remapped by Jamie at sp tuning took it to 129 bhp. But it was already running at 107bhp on first dyno run before Jamie done is magic

That's fantastic. I've been doing quite a few 160 mile journeys along some very hilly roads and with a load on it felt a little wheezy. Very impressive though. It's my wife's car, I have a BMW 5 series 2.5 touring so I don't normally notice the hills. I'm not knocking the DS though, it really is a cracking car

Yeah I bet there is a difference between the two but getting it remapped was the best thing I did you can really tell the difference especially the torque it's amazing mpg on a run has gone up to high 60 's and have had 74mpg out of it but would only recommend Jamie at sp tuning to do the map you can find his details on forum has he is a forum sponsor
