  • Clutch pedal

Hi,I've just bought a 2010 1.6 dsport and find the clutch pedal position a pain, its to close to the carpet so
when I push it down my heel is flat on carpet and my toes are touching the lever coming down to the pad.
I think the pad is too curved so it doesn't spread the load on the ball of your foot it digs in instead. Is anyone
else expieriencing this or is it just me.Thanks.

I've never had that problem in the nearly 3 years I've driven DSports. I have noticed that choice of footwear can drastically affect drivability though. My wedding shoes we definitely not ideal last night.

You push the clutch will the ball of your foot?

With my cattle barges I have to use my toes!

I have to press with the middle of my foot to replicate this.
Maybe try adjusting your foot position to press the pedal more toward the front of your foot allowing your ankle to bend more which will keep your heel higher and your toes off the lever. Different cars will require different driving styles and habits that need to be relearned for each car. I sure you will get use to it.

Have removed the pedal cover straightened the top of it with a bit of wood and a hammer then bent the top of the clutch pedal it bolts through and my toes no longer touch the lever behind.Very quick to do ,feels a lot better.
