  • Plasti Dip DS3 Emblem

Hi guys I have seen people "diping" their cars on YouTube for a while now and finally plucked up the courage to give it a try myself, bought a can of black plati dip of Amazon. Unfortunately being a mainly US product it costs a lot in the UK. Mine was £16 for a 400ml can. Pricey but it is totally worth it imho. Here are some pics, hopefully step by step.

    Any questions ?

No not at all, it rips right along the edges of logo and text. Check this video out, you won't believe how easy it is to do. This is the first time I ever tried it. http://youtu.be/u8Gfd46AxLw .

P.s. Mine ripped a lot cleaner than his, as long as you take it slow you will be fine

Here is an actual video of me peeling off the excess, as you can see it is very easy as long as you take your time. - http://youtu.be/0S3IhJEVfAg
A bit fiddily when you get to the citroen writing but a toothpick helps to get in the tight areas.

Looks so easy and even better finished! How does it fair when cleaning?

Not sure yet, did it about 24 hours ago and still feels rubbery, so I wouldn't want to try washing it yet. Although when it's cured it should be very durable and I should be able to safely get it pressure washed.

Been pressure washing the plastic dipped parts on my car for about 3 years now. No problems.

How does yours feel to the touch now after 3 years?
Mine is still very grippy and rubbery. Will it take about a week for it to "cure"?
