MTech Short Shifter Fitted

Finally got the time to install my MTech short shifter last night and i'm really pleased with the results! The length of the throw previously seemed quite long so this was the perfect solution. It wasn't the easiest of jobs but even with my limited knowledge and tools i managed it If anyone decides to attempt it and needs guidance then please feel free to contact me.

Thanks Beef, It took me a couple of hours but as i said i'm a novice with a spanner. There are a couple of tricky steps and the instruction supplied vary slightly for the ds3, removing and re-installing the roll pins took a while also unbolting the unit is a bit fiddly.

Doesn't sound to bad, I had a look over the instructions and it does look quite straightforward (I'm a novice too).

And now the important question, how does it feel to use?

Ah Yes, it does feels much sportier, it obviously reduces the throw and makes the gear changes a bit quicker. Overall it feels much tidier.

Did you measure how much the throw distance changed?

I just installed mine. Took me 2 hours.
The install is not for novices, if you ask me.
Result: Big improvement over stock :star:

No. The mod, is only related to the shift-cables / throw.
