Back & front emblem

I am wondering if anyone here has removed their front and back DS emblem , is it only heating with a heatblower and using dental floss to get behind the glue or is it pinned in?

I have removed the 'CITROEN' sign from the back using a liquid substance I purchased which melts the glue and also using dental floss which was easy however, not the emblem. I can only assume it would be as easy as that.

The rear DS logo has locating pins on certain years, I'm not sure which though.

Hey Mike what was it that you used to melt the glue. I'm wanting to do the same as you've done and remove the Citroen badge but getting my hands on a heatgun is a little tricky.

I just pulled the letters and front emblem off with my hands on a warm day. Cleaned up the residue with bug and tar remover ,done No tools involved

Hair dryer & extension lead should do the job. Although the 23C weather today will probably do it.

OK will admit the front was a bit hard to get off with just my fingers but nothing unmanageable, back letters pulled off easy.

I wouldn't have though a hair dryer would get hot enough, anyway Ill get myself some bug and tar remover and give it a try. If I'd know you could do it on a hot day I'd have done it last week, it was certainly hot enough when I was leaving work.

To remove the glue that is behind the emblem can you use like Nail paint remover , or just petrol for it ?

WD40 will work if you have some laying around and easier on the paint.

Nevermind i removed my Citroen badge , but my ds3 logo back & front is with pins .....

i just put my car in the sun today citroen letters came of with a little pull so

Know the earlier cars had pins for the back DS (like mine early 2011)but first I have heard of any car having the front rectangle badge with pins. What year is it?
