Vinyl Wrap

Tried to carbon wrap some parts of my DS3, but the wraps as ridiculously thick, almost impossible to cut with a scalpel, can anyone reccomend some carbon wrap?

Did you try heating it up? Should make it a bit more pliable.

Yeah of course, this stuff was ridiculously thick, unworkable, it wasn't like a film more like a plastic, it shattered into pieces when bending it cold, the heat obviously helped but my new scalpels couldn't hack it

I've bought a few samples (silver & light blue) from Teckwrap-uk on eBay.

It's pretty easy to apply but I've only used it on my phone case so far, nothing big.

Is it a thinner film? Would you recommend it for wrapping the chrome batons?

I don't know what you've bought but it's fairly thin, didn't shatter and can be cut with scissors.

Oh the side baguettes? Yeah should work fine on them. I've had it on my phone case for weeks and it still looks good under constant use. On the car should last well.

The 3M is the same as any vinyl from what I can tell from this sample.

For cutting look into wrap cut. It's a tape with a fine wire in it.

3M 1080 vinyl or KPMF vinyl, I have some offcuts of the KPMF stuff from a job I have recently done depending on how much you need. Most stuff from ebay comes from China and is not good.....here to help if you require any advice. Andy K Signs
