  • New Milltech Exhaust and HPFP

Jamie will probably post these later but I thought id add one pic now.

The new HPFP has made a very noticeable difference, my car is 2010 model so probably has the first rev pump, this has been causing the odd issue which are now rectified, uber smooth idle and power delivery.

    Very shiny.

Now, the rules of the internet state that you must post a video of exhaust so we can hear the noise

The exhaust was maybe slightly indulgent but the HPFP was a necessity. A slight technical hitch outside Jamie's control meant the uprated clutch won't be installed this month.

You're definitely paying for the brand when it comes to Milltek, Mongoose or any of the other reputable manufacturers.

There's a reason these manufacturers have become so reputable though so I don't see the harm in paying over the odds.

I agree, I meant I didn't really need the exhaust replacing right now but yes, something's in life are worth paying a bit more for.

Wow- that's good mileage from an HPFP. Mine went 19k. Keep us informed how this one goes (Is it the Mini R56 one)
Mid resonator= mid silencer about half way between the exhaust
If you haven't got one, it will be louder

Its the newest revision so probably common to a number of engines inc the Mini.
Not looked underneath so not sure where it is to be honest, it sounds beefier at 3000RPM and above under acceleration, certainly once the turbo comes in, but not loud. Once the uprated clutch is in il give it a good run to the redline .

Having a mid res would cost round £120-150 extra

Sports catalytic converter next then, thatll get you an extra 9bhp or so

                        Tailpipes look nice

Jamie would be the best man to answer any of this to be honest.

Tailpipes now look filthy after the wet trip home, the only joy of most of the M1 being a 50mph zone is the average 58mpg I got for the whole journey.

Supplier in Germany sent wrong clutch, only found out when we matched it to the existing.
Pump is latest revision from BMW mini.
It's a non-res system, it will start to sound a little beefier after 2-3 months use.
Highflow cat is on back order until August
                            White on red THP
Miltek exhaust with HKS highflow cat, Forge intercooler, hard pipe kit, induction kit, oil catch tank, , VAG BOV, Stage 3 SPT remap 217 BHP
