The leather gear knob is prone to wear and tear, luckily Freeborn Southampton replaced mine when I collected my car.

Yeah kept the old knob might be able to do something with it , hoping the pedals don't wear to quickly .

Was the footrest an easy fit, ie did you need to drill holes or was it just a case of screwing it in .

I imagine it will be the same as the Citroen one, you just line it up and then screw it in by hand, the material under the carpet there is similar to stiff polystyrene
