Catback exhaust system-- worth it?

I was wondering if it worths upgrading the exhaust of my ds3 thp ? I am thinking to have a full catback system as I don't want to have issues with the engine light going on if I go for a full exhaust system with out a catalyst. I know the gains in power are much more with a full exhaust system. I was wondering how much gains will a catback+ an ecu remap will give me ? and also if it worths doing a catback exhaust mod?
