i have a black special edition. an try to keep on top of keeping it looking black. But to my horror iv found some light scratches on the bonnet. so i tried a bit of t-cut. needles to say i dont like the results. does any one have any tips on removal of these blemishes on such lovely skin? also does anyone have ideas of a good polish for black paint?

I have used Meguairs Scratch X and it is brilliant, removes lights scratches and imperfections. My DS3 appreciates these lovely touches :-) I would highly recommend it

You can get something called poorboys black hole which is a good glaze for black cars (I use it, it fills in small scratches etc) to be used before wax etc.
Although to be honest citroen paint isnt very good from what iv seen, it scratches very easily and iv got a good few stonechips on my bonnet and as its black every tiny scratch is obvious...

Be carefull with the buffer, it can go right through the top glaze and your in to respray.

Meguiars ultimate compound isn't too bad tbh, follow it up with some meguiars nxt tech wax 2.0 or similar and it should look better. Modern paint is pretty crappy compared to the old days but the best tip is to not go at it too roughly and work in small area's, oh and i would definitely steer clear of the buffer if you've never used one before.
I had a random cat jump on my bonnet and slide off again down the wing leaving behind a present of loads of scratches, not very deep but the Meguiars ultimate compound and the meguiars nxt tech wax 2.0 did a good job of making it look a lot better, rather annoying when you've only just got a new car lol.
