Brakes (Upgrade)

Ok guys and gals. Probably one of the most important parts of the car.

I am not prepared to muck around with these unless there is a reputable company offering an upgrade like Brembo etc. Are there any options out there for a front disk and pad upgrade?

Possibly DS3 Racing brakes?

What's most cost effective.

Also does the warranty stay un affected if DS3 Racing brakes are fitted as they are a genuine part(s)?

I know Dave at Flashremapping was possibly also looking into this as the 200bhp 240ftlb remap could do with more STOP.

Maybe we can give him a hand with a solution.

Probably a good idea to stick some EBC Red Stuff pads in as a starter, i'm not sure but aren't the front disks the same as the new C3?

I have a THP, I don't know if the brake would be the same as the c3, they are noticeably bigger than the diesel models. Do you think red or yellow stuff would be a noticeable improvement?

Surely though, with the amount of equipment the PSA group share, there would be an EBC pad for the DS3. Has anyone got a photo or diagram of a front brake pad on a DS3? Or could one of the dealers (John or BF76) post a diagram?

There's Brembo Cross-Drilled And Vented Discs Available On eBay Aswell As Brembo & Green Stuff Pads To Fit The OEM Calipers, No Mention Of Bremo Calipers For The DS3 Mind =/

I cant see the green stuff on eBay. Have you got the link. They dont have them on the genuine website. I would be careful buying brake bits on eBay. I don't care of they are a few quid cheaper, I probably would get them from the brands actual shop.

I don't think you're gonna find a full Brembo upgrade to be the most cost effective option ^^

EBC have confirmed they don't do them for the DS3 yet.

will contact them tomorrow but will also check with ebc in case they are jeckels

I have checked with ebc. They don't do the DS3 yet. I emailed them and they replied very quickly. No estimate of when they will be out, I think they are probably the best option, when out.
