  • Crash Diet

I will put my DS on a crash diet on Thursday for my Friday track day,

So far I will do a rear seat delete & strip out the boot,

I haven't got much time to look or the car on me now, can anyone quickly tell me the best way to remove the rear seats please, save me some time looking later! Cheers

Can anyone rev omens anything else that I have over looked?

For the seats - Take out the boot lining and pop the seat backs forward. You'll see some bolts - this might help:

If you are doing to fronts too - remember to disconnect the battery before you unplug the seats (airbag connections)

Anything else you could recommend to reduce weight?

I have just deleted the rear seats (so easy!), taken out everything from the boot (mats, spare wheel, literally everything), took me 30mins all in all

I will post pictures and a guide if anyone's interested?

Put a roll cage in and some weight goes back on!

Throw away the spare wheel if you can get there without risk of a puncture! Lose the jack and wheel wrench too. Put a fire extinguisher in! In my case it would be,take off those wind deflectors and stickers and lose the detailing spray etc.
