Anyone straight piped the back box on the THPs with the catalytic converter in tact?

I'm planning to do this soon however unsure, what do people think?

If so has anyone got a video?

Just had this done to mine, best thing I have ever done to it. Sounds incredible. Pops, bangs, whistles! Just from removing the back box. Highly recommend it

So would you recommend a mid resonator delete or a back box straight pipe?

Or both

I want to leave the cat in place for warranty purposes

I would see if you can get to hear both set ups in person mud res removal & back box then straight pipe I have sports cat & miltek exhaust with no mid res plenty loud enough with pop & bangs too if that is what you are looking for😉

I have just been informed that for noise straight piping the mid resonator doesn't have massive effects on noise unless the back box is straight piped! Guess I will straight pipe the back box, then listen to it & see if I want more

Seems the back box is the major sound deadening.

Just straight pipe the back box first. You will be surprised by how good it actually sounds and how much difference it makes. I can get a video of mine if you want? Even thought people say you can't really hear it properly through video

I'd love a video if you can been thinking of straight piping mine for a while, since I've changed to bastuck and still not fully satisfied with the sound...

I think the mid res delete I have sounds way better & throatier imo
