  • Dashcam recommendations

I'm looking to get a dashcam fitted on the new whip, and im thinking of going for the Nextbase 402g, but would like a front and rear camera if possible - any recommendations?

Also, has anyone used Halfords to fit them?

Christ don't get Halfords to fit them. It's the easiest thing ever to fit your own dash cam (unless you mean you're getting it hard wired in)

I use the SJCam SJ4000 WiFi, because I also use it with my MTB.

Happy to lend some hobbyist enthusiasm and give you a hand fitting one if we're at any shows together.

Would recommend picking up one of these alongside the cameras: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/like/25230...ype=pla&crdt=0

I don't have any recommendations on camera's. Mine's fitted purely for evidence in the event of an accident so cost <£20.

You can hide the cables without hardwiring it though

Go and check out the website Techmoan, he has reviewed a load of cams as well as a battery pack.

He also reviews the older version of the SJ4000 and gives it a decent review

the only bit of wire you'll see is coming out of the cig lighter. run it under the front mat, up the A pillar, along the roof lining and out to where it needs to be

But by definition, if you can see the wires - they aren't hidden xD

This, plus a 12-5v converter, a camera and some extra wire is all you need for a much cleaner job.

                              And potentially voiding your warranty.
