Hybrid Turbo Upgrade

Afternoon all,

Just a quick post to get some feedback and input from forum members and people who may be interested.

It's only applicable to people who have the 90 or 110, 115 diesels.

I'm looking at doing a hybrid turbo kit with a well know turbo manufacturer for the 1.6 diesel DS3's.

For the 90bhp version (D-Style, D-Stle Plus) they use the Mitsubishi TD025 wastegate turbo. This maxes out at 125bhp. The hybrid kit would be able to push out 150bhp

For the 100-115bhp version (D-Sport) they use the Garret GT1544V VNT turbo, this is good for about 140bhp. The hybrid would be able to push out 160bhp.

The kit would include:

• Airtec front mount intercooler
• Genuine new (not reconditioned) hybrid Mitsubishi TD025 or Garret GT1544V
• DPF delete
• Software for either 150bhp or 160bhp depending on model
• Potentially a clutch (depending on testing results)

Let me know what peoples thoughts are?

Sounds like a good boost in power, I imagine the cost would be a limiting factor for most, any idea on prices?

Sounds great,but I am holding on at present to see what Airtec come up with re my reply on my mods post. I hadn`t considered a DPF delete for mine.

I'm running almost 300nm atm and the clutch is fine. like i say though it may potentially need up rated once i've got the testing underway. Looking to start the initial testing mid October.

So if any of you follow my instagram account you'll know I pushed development ahead and is now almost complete on the first kit.

To give you an idea of how the hybrid TD02 kit has been tested, It's had its head panned in on German autobahns, It's been ragged arround the ring for 15 laps, it's been hammered up and down Stelvio Pass 4 times and has been drover through some of Europe's busiest cities.

All that's left to do is alter the boost map ever so slightly for altitude driving.

It's a beast though. Will be getting a blog post up as soon as it's complete for you guys to take a look at then ill be selling the full kits.

I'll also be selling the TD02 hybrid I'm using now once complete to fit the GT1544V Hybrid.

So I'm now selling the Hybrid TD02 I've used for development. It's done 3000 miles and comes with 11 months warranty. This turbo is cable of 105bhp.

It's a direct bolt on and map, no chopping and cutting required.

As it's used I'm looking for £450, that's £350 cheaper than I'll be selling these for.
