Gap where CD player used to be?

On my DS3 there is an empty space with a shallow shelf where the CD player used to be. My dealer told me that they no longer come with CD players due to the touch screen, which is fair enough, but it looks ugly with nothing there.

Has anyone thought about doing something with it, or potentially closing the space up? At the moment I'm using it to store my lipstick (as you do) but I would like to make better use of it.

Also, probably mentioned about 14562 times before but does anyone have a solution to the lack of cup holders. I'm already fed up trying to balance my Coke from McDonald's on my knees :rolleyes:

Any ideas?

If yours has room for one I can recommend this available from ebay etc....Le cup holder!

^ The only thing to mention about those cup holders is that they are at a slight angle towards you, so be careful of spills especially when changing into/out of 3rd gear.

As for the CD player gap, do you have a photo of it? Not familiar with how it looks myself

The little gap will fit a chocolate bar or some mints!

If you close the gap up where are you going to put your lipstick?

The cup holder option has been covered but it's worth noting that the door bin does a good enough job of holding a tin/bottle/cup thingy as it tapers back.

In regards to blanking off the space you would need to have something custom made for the car as at present there is nothing available from DS.
