If anyone's interested...

Bought one of these Aerials from ebay for my DSport which matches side skirts & mirrors in chrome.

Aerial works fine is shorter than the original & looks the business.

Clarky, how was it fitting the aerial is it simple enough. i was thinking though about fitting a fin type aerial, anyone done this so far?

oh right zack, how was it fitting it though? i just dont feel too confident in taking the inside apart and that, im fine with wires and connections.

Simple To Fit - Just Don't Be Too Heavy Handed When Taking The Base Of The Existing Ariel Off As Its Easy To Scratch The Roof !

Tried looking for yours on Ebay but the listing has long gone. Was it like this one? If so is it just a case of unthreading the original and screwing the bullet thumb aerial into the same thread on the base, or does that have to be removed as well (as I think Zack has mentioned here)?

Nah i bought one of these as i wanted the chrome http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/CAR-AERIAL-BEE...item2560f225f0.

Simply unscrew the old aerial and screw your new one in....using the correct thread insert which i think is 5mm.
