Wrapping the interior of my car :)

[DS3 Black/White]

Hey

I recently bought a Black ds3 with a white roof, i have been thinking of personalizing it by
wrapping the glossy part of the interior, i am not doing it because i think the interior looks bad or anything
i just want to make it stand ut from all the other ds3`s that are out there.

Does anyone have any experience doing something like this?, you guys are also more than welcome to come with suggestions
as i am not sure how i want the interior to look.

Welcome to the club

Wrapping is definitely one of the cheapest ways to personalise the interior. Having done it myself, it's also very fiddly to do and takes a lot of time and patience.

Another option is hydro-dipping, you can basically get any design you want but it can be an expensive process.

I have seen a few interior wraps, from plain colours to patterns to white carbon fibre wrap. I definitely agree with beefmasta that it will be a difficult job, but you can always pay a pro to do it for you

Just over a year ago I wrapped my gloss black center console in carbon fibre. Also the door handle surrounds. Have a look here - https://instagram.com/p/73BMFHq_lP/

It was very fiddily and took me about 1.5 hours. It has started to peel of this summer when it got up to 30 degrees. I might peel it off and wrap it with just matte black instead. It's definitely with a shot by yourself if you feel up to it, it only cost me £5 for the wrap of amazon.

And this is probably why it started to peel.

3M is industry standard for automotive wraps, and I wouldn't use anything else. If I wanted patterns I'd get them printed on by a sign printing company.

Yeah I had no idea what I was doing back then lol. I've bought some more since then and it has all been 3M adhesive. I've got 2 meters of matte black automotive vinyl. I wrapped my from bumper to give it the evo look. That has been perfect for over. That's why I'm going to re-do the carbon with the 3M matte black vinyl.

There are posts on the trim that fit into rubber holes in steering wheel. Just pry it off evenly or you will tear the rubber on the steering wheel.. Be aware it is on very and I mean very tight. Go slow and keep at it and it will come off.
