  • Jcw manifold

    Came across this site
    http://www.outmotoring.com/jcw-exhaust-manifold.html
Is this a direct fit/bolt to our thp engine?

    Yes, direct fit.

Performance wise is it worth it ?

If your manifold is leaky: Yes.
        Otherwise: I don't think so.

The JCW exhaust manifold in Eagles post does have a slight improvement over the Cooper S exhaust manifold, which is the same as the one standard on the Citroen and Peugeot THP engines, if my ageing memory serves me, when I did the wall and volume measurement calculations, there was an increase in port size of 1.3mm over standard, please don't quite that as an absolute value, I can find the actual data if it's requested, I have it somewhere, that said, is the gain justified against the cost ?

Yes, given Eagles quest for punchy mid performance.

Eagle, go check out your local BMW MINI dealer for a costing on the JCW exhaust manifold.

Than you for your input czar
Your knowledge and input are always appreciated
I was thinking this jcw as a small performance upgrade for mid range gains
Price is ok...,bmw dealer in cyprus charges almost double the price of this one

Anybody knows if an exhaust manifold for a Peugeot rcz 200bhp would direct fit out thp engines?
              http://jmtcperformance.com/peugeot-c...z-200/exhaust/
its very similar look to the jcw manifold but with almost half price
I already got a full exhaust including a 2.5 inch downpipe and 200cpi racing catalyst ..are there any drawbacks if I buy the rcz manifold from the above link?
(my target is for midrange power/torgue not high rpm)

My next upgrade then I hope it will worth the money and see some mid range power gains

                    Why not do your own?

Is this a better design for better exhaust gases to flow than the rcz ported exhaust manifold? (
                      ( http://jmtcperformance.com/peugeot-c...z-200/exhaust )
                      and the most important question
Will the exahust manifold give any power gains in mid rpm with out upgrading the turbo? I already got a stage 2 remap and full 2.5inch exhaust incl downpipe
