  • First ever Citroen

    Hi guys and gals,

My girlfriend has just purchased a DS3 VTi, 1.6 petrol, 120BHP.

What kind of things should I / we look for in terms of subtle modifications?

Can I get the aluminium pedals? Where from?
Can we change the interior lights to LEDs?
How tricky is it to change the head unit? Is it worth it?

Any tips on what you suggest or recommend, if anything?

Because the 120HP Engine is a N/A, you can't do much for more power.
    So my suggestions:
    - Coilovers
    - Exhaust
    - MTech Short Shifter
    - LED Interior Lights (+ you need two luggage compartment lights from Citroen to get everything white)
Citroën DS³ // THP 155 // Body Ruby Red // Roof Moondust
DS³R Speedometer // 19" OEM Cairns // KW V3 Coilovers

      Hi Shiro,

Thanks for replying. Yeah understand about the engine and performance. I think it'll mostly be mods for comfort and convenience.

Is there a link or site where I can get the kit for all interior lights? With regards to the boot light, there is only one that i saw, is it easy to install a second?

What's your opinion on a panel filter?

          Welcome to the club!

Regarding comfort get you a pre-heating with remote control. I really do not want to miss mine anymore.
          Enjoy your DS3.

Ah I didn't even think to look on the bay. It's got the standard black ones, I know it's standard, just looks a bit drab. I'm down in Kent, South East England. Do they just screw off and the metal ones screw on?

What's that you're referring to? Is that an extra or something that can be activated using VCDS?

Yeah unscrew the old ones, you do have to make two new holes for the accelerator if I remember right.

Two new holes in the actual pedal that's attached to the car or to the metal attachment?

                    It is something to retrofit.
