Turbo downpipe vs catback

Soup,

I was originally looking a putting a catback system on but looking again it appears a turbo downpipe with a sports cat will have ever so slight improvements on bhp. What is the difference between the downpipe with the sports cat as opposed to the catback system? The downpipe option is also cheaper so there must be a a downside to it.

Cat back is pretty much just gonna be a difference in sound whereas a downpipe (de-cat I assume you mean) will produce bhp and a lot of extra sound and a sports cat will give moderate bhp gains with not quite as much extra sound. But a de-cat could potentially end up having your car taken off you if you get pulled over caught with depending on the officers mood lol don't always be tempted by cheap sports cats either, not all of them are Road legal
