Exhaust?

Hello everyone looking at getting an exhaust system fitted to my ds3 but not sure which one is best I know it's down to preference but was wondering what ones people on here think are best cheers

+ Loud and rumbly
- Expensive
- Very loud around town

Milltek
+ Nice and raspy
- Expensive

Powerflow
+ More subtle
+ Cheaper
- Not as hardcore as those above

Scorpion
+ Similar to Milltek but a little bit cheaper
- Not as good as Milltek

Custom Fabricated (Stainless Steel or Titanium)
+ Get exactly what you want sound and diameter wise
+ Steel exhaust can be cheaper than branded pre-made ones
+ Wide choice of tailpipes and finishes
+ Titanium very lightweight
- Titanum VERY expensive (thousands)
- Will have to give up your car for longer so they can use it for test fitting etc.

All of the above available as resonated (quieter) or non-resonated (louder), from cat back or turbo back. Options of decat (not road legal) or sports cat too.

There are advocates here for all those mentioned above, my personal choice would be Milltek if you have the budget, or custom SS for anything else.

if you go for a Bastuck, get a mid res , and if you need a straight through pipe, i have one in the loft :-)

<3 the Bastuck, but was loud when accelerating under load, n expensive. Quality tho.

Would either of you suggest just removing the resonator on the standard exhaust?

I've had the resonator removed on mine. Sounds reasonably beefy considering it cost me about £20. Still perfectly civilised when you want it to be but has a nice raspy grunt to it on acceleration.

I've got a resonated cobra sport exhaust and a decat and I love the sound of it, I have a video of it on my instagam but the video doesn't do it much justice

Is Cobra no good?

I like the sound of the cobra exhaust shown on YouTube. I'd 100% get that if it wasn't for the price. Personally I'm going to have to go custom in order to get it a bit cheaper. Does anyone have a powerflow sound clip? I've ran into a few bad reviews about powerflow and so I'm apprehensive about forking our for one.
