You have 3 choices as I see it (without going into the expense of a respray)
#1 Learn to live with the stripes..it was a special edition after all
#2 Remove the stripes and have an all white car
#3 remove the stripes and get a vinyl covering in the colour of your choice fitted (and as the vinyl is classed as a temporary change you don't have to notify the DVLA)
The 'Special' Editions Are Good Cars And Well Set-up But I Agree With Rick... The Roof Stripes Are Effing Awful lol
That is a matter of opinion and personal choice, but if he wants to change it I would suggest that option 3 is the easiest way to go, if you respray the roof you are obliged to notify the DVLA as that is classed as a permanent colour change.....with the vinyl wrap you don't have to, and if you get fed-up with the look it is easy to change
Can you remove the vinyl? Cause I gotta think about giving it back in 3 years.
Also before I start ringing around... Anyone have a rough idea on how much it might cost?
"Vinyl wrapping is a quick and cost affective way of changing you vehicle's colour and look. It is also completly reversible so when it comes to selling the vehicle it can be removed."

When I was looking at the DS3 a local dealer told me about a lady who had ordered her unique colour choice, waited 12 weeks for the car and when it arrived she hated it!!!!!
She had the roof resprayed in the dealer's body shop at a discounted but still somewhat princely fee!
I guess thats the risk you take ordering a car from a computer screen (kinda like dulux colours )

We All Know What Vinyl Wrapping Is John...
Rick Im Not Sure About How You Would Stand In Regards To Removing The Stripes... Obviously They'd Have To Be Removed If You Were Wrapping Roof But If You Have To Give It Back Then Im Not Sure ? =/
If you're serious about getting the vinyl done, give me a shout and I can get you a quote off my mate who helped with my vinyls. shouldn't be that much just for the roof..
