    Thanks in advance

As I understand it, you can use any stereo, you'll need a Connects2 adaptor to keep using the steering wheel controls though.

      What he said.

Check the technical guides for more information on how these are connected.

          Hi Andrew
First mod I did when I got mine two weeks ago was install an aftermarket stereo. I fitted my DS3 with a Pioneer SPH-DA120 Apple CarPlay - AppRadio 4 and used this video to help with the fitting. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vY1hJw0oeCg
The kit that they are talking about is around £79 but has everything you need to get the stereo working with the steering wheel controls.
Easy enough fitting, think it took me about an hour, the only problem I had was the lack of space behind the head unit for the wires. Also, I would recommend ensuring the time and date are set on the original screen before you install the new head unit as I understand there is no way of changing them once you remove the standard unit. Good Luck

If you buy the correct kit, you can still change the date and time and other such settings like internal lighting, you just cant switch between the date display and the mpg/range etc display, you have to choose one before and change it before you fit the aftermarket stereo.

ahh ok, it wasn't something that crossed my mind when looking at stereos. I'll have to try it and see if it works
