Ebay Turbo

Just wondering, has anyone fitted an ebay turbo to their DSPORT? Or how much hp increase it even gives you?

I think you will need to provide a bit more info than "eBay Turbo" as there are a few turbos listed for DS3 's on eBay. Can you provide a link to the item on eBay or maybe the item number of the turbo you have seen? If you can get a bit more info, it may help other forum members to give you some helpful answers.

Edit: However, after re-reading this, I guess you are asking if anyone has had issues with an eBay purchased turbo rather than a specific one?

If it's the right turbo, for sale on eBay, then I see no problem with it. However I'd strongly advise collecting in person or checking they have a good return policy/reputation so you can check for impeller damage, cracks in the housing, shaft play, etc.

Just buying any old turbo won't necessarily work, got to be able to match it up to the exhaust manifold, exhaust, intake line, and intercooler piping. I think the recommended ones for the THP are:

207 RC, Racing, 208GTi, JCW, Mamba, Frankenturbo - in ascending order of max power (I think, last 2 may be switched), although most of these do need some modification to match the piping sizes and inlet/outlet directions.

I wasnt sure what turbo would fit the ds3 so i wasnt looking for a particular one. Unfortunately my Ds3 Dsport actually broke down yesterday. Something with my oil leaking into the engine so it looks like i may have to get a new engine or not aure yet. The mechanic is going to get back to me tomorrow. Will post what he says and maybe you guys could help me out
