  • HDI 110 Engine Mods possible ?

    Hello

I have had the email to tell me car is made and on its way, so i started looking at what mods are about for my HDI 110 dsport, and OMG i am now officialy well confused and very tired...i basically been up most of the night .

All i really want to know is: is it possible to get it remaped ?? i have seen the thread from flash remap and emailed dave, he has said they working on it, but then there was a thread that said they could do it for euros.

also is it possible to get an induction kit ?? i have been looking around all the places that people have mentioned, K&N pipercross, green filters and many more, but alot of them do not list the HDi 110 so in this case is it just the K&N / a another replacement filter i can get ? is that all i can do ?

the last question is if i get any of this stuff, remap, induction kit etc does it invalidate my warranty ?

i really appreciate your help and i am sure these questions have been asked before, and that one by one i guess i have read the answer i am just sooooooooo confused

thanks in advance for your expert assistance

    Hi and welcome

It's only my opinion but I would wait for Flashremap to crack it if I were you. They are very professional and some others in the market are no so - saying they can do things that they can't.
Yes it can invalidate your warranty but only if they find it!!!

I will leave others to answer re: other mods.

    Stay cool, you'll love it.

Ahh cool, soory am a complete noob when it comes to this sort of thing had a lot of cars in my time and many have had after market alterations....but never really done much myself from scratch, other than taking it off to get it serviced

will have a look at K&N again, many thanks for your advice.....could i ask another question, at what time is the best to fit these thing si have seen people say they have done various miles in them before having them fitted ??? is there a set kind of run in time before changing stuff ?

many thanks for all your help, appreciate it.

I don't understand why it couldn't be remapped? If in my little country is no problem with that, so why should be in GB?
Even though if you really have a problem to find some professionals, go for "Steinbauer tuning box". It's not cheap, but I think that it's one of the most acceptables alternatives for the remapping.
BTW: K&N air filter for HDI Euro5? Forget it, not released yet. And that's not a good idea to to get the universal one...

                  Hi dstrois
                  The ds3 hdi 110 has a siemens 807a ecu
This has not been cracked by anyone I know as yet - that includes Alientech, Dimsport, CMD, In fact ANY of the well known ecu remapping toolmakers
Im sure its not far away - but I am yet to see evidence of it being done - I have seen many websites that claim they can - but no proof or explanation how - Of course I am happy to be proved wrong and get these cars done if someone knows some more than me
This is not to say that there are other cars with the same engine and with the same BHP that can be mapped because they have a different ecu

A tuning box does not work because the ecu finds out the tuning box is there because rail pressure is too high and after a short time reigns in the extra power - Steinbauer make fantastic tuning boxes in fact they as more like a piggyback ecu and the company does proper research so it is possible their box may actually work as it plugs in line to ecu rather than common rail sensor plug - I would however be sitting comfortably when you get a quote - but as the old saying goes - good thing no cheap , cheap thing no good

                  Dave

                    Hi FlashRemapping,
It's funny, because I asked them twice (mmracing), if it's really possible to remap Citroen DS3 1.6HDI FAP 115 hp (ECU Siemens 807a) and they said: "Don't worry, we have already successfully remapped that engine without any problem."
And this company is one of the best here, no fake. But I'll see it on 08.08.2011 on MAHA LPS 3000

I have personally a very good experience with the Steinbauer power box in VW Passat 1.9tdi. It was like a beast. And after 120000km without any problem.
What's the difference between Steinbauer and the other "boxes" is that Steinbauer claim no active increase of boost or common rail pressure. But I agree that the remap is absolutely better...

Steinbaur - to my understanding is more of a piggy back ecu - that does not plug to teh common rail sensor plug - it plugs inbetween loom and ecu therfore gives more like a remap that a tuning box

Im glad this mmracing have cracked it - it will filter through to all of us very soon - would be incredibly interested to know what tool they are using

The remap of my DS3 1.6 HDI 112 FAP was successfully done today.
                            The results from MAHA 3000: 93,2kW (3665rpm) / 309,5Nm (1900rpm)
                            I'm so happy
