  • e-hdi remapping

Went down to Wales this morning
    First e-hdi Diesel

    Same ecu as usual 90Bhp
    different eeprom chip though
and the boot pin was the smallest thing I have ever seen - bit trikky but no problems - and in a different location on board

Full file was same size but the "Flash read" only 2.5 mb vs 4mb on the 99g and 104g

The maps were pretty similar but different locations in the data

Results same as the rest - pretty much cures flat spots - stop start still works perfectly

despite the maps being located differently the mapping was the same so gains will be the same ( its the same ecu (edc17c10) but different eeprom chip and boot pin in different spot
seems we get 22bhp right off the bat and another 7or8 once the ecu has fully adapted - flat spot ard 1700-1800 rpm virtually gone and general feel the same as Jimbobs when first remapped
We didnt dyno this one as its only done 2k miles and might be prudent to wait its fully run in
the stop/start uneffected by the remapping

I'm sure that the Stop/Start unit is controlled by it's own BSI rather then linked to the main ECU which is looking at battery charge levels and speed, thus it would be uneffected by the re-map.

You can have mine. It's a 110 HDI but I don't know is it's a siemens ECU. I'm in Scotland though (Irvine, Ayrshire). I believe you're based in Kent? You might want someone closer.
