    Spent the day with the the guys at Viezu and given the mods I was not happy withe the 217' bhp result. I must hasten to add that the Viesu team did everything they could to give me the best result. My car is not standard by any means with a hybrid turbo and totally custom intake and cooling systems. These guys did a cracking job with a total unknown. It is a heck of a lot less than I expected but just watch this space. There is a guy out there with the same 1.6 block pushing 300+ bhp (on a m*n*). Nitros is not in it!

            I take it you will be running a LSD in there when bumping up the power that much?

              To be honest, I'm not sure what my next move will be. I think I might just leave the engine alone for the moment and sort the suspension and brakes. Fitting a LSD will be a big job and probably cost a fair bit. At the moment I am happy with the way the car goes but you can never have to much horsepower.

                Hey mate, sorry to hear you are not happy with the result. Could they not see what you needed to do to extract more power? Or any ideas where the extra power would come from?

                Is your boost valve letting you down? I have noticed increased response from my engine with the forge one fitted now.

                Did they find out what the fault codes were that came up a couple of weeks ago?

                  Did you also change your complete exhaust?
                  Even with a standard THP this will make a hell of a difference! (around 20hp)

                  Did you also change the intercooler?
                  This will also make a huge differnce (also around 15hp on a standard THP)

                    Allready posted this before.
                    Guy from france with his standard THP setup.

                    His first setup was:
                    - Green Replacement filter
                    - Forge Alloy pipework
                    - Chiptuning

                    He had 213hp and 359nm of torque

                    Now also replaced his intercooler with an Forge Intercooler and gained an extra 13hp and 20nm
                    and now has 227hp and 379nm of torque :cool:

                    After this he will replace his exhaust and hopes to score an extra 10hp and 10nm

                      Hi Fabian,

                      Yep I have changed the intercooler for a much bigger one, had a sports cat fitted and a custom built system from the cat back. I also have had new turbo internals and a ram air induction system fitted so was expecting much higher gains in power. The guys at Viezu suspect that the throttle map may be causing the problem as it was only running around 75% load even at full throttle. I might consider seeing about getting the turbo boost tweaked a bit.

                        OK, yes, then 217hp is a bit les for all the specs.

                        I know the guy in France worked for about two weeks on he ECU because there are many limitations which are hided.
                        The ECU from PSA is totaly different and better secured then the Mini Cooper S one.

                        Maybe you can contact him, It's a really good guy and speaks English very well!
