Hi All,

I am planning to have my 150THP Remapped sometime in September. This will be done by a garage based in Chorley - Viezu approved. I have yet to confirm a date, but likely to be a Saturday in September.

The car will be on a rolling road pre & post remapp (Dont exactly know what that means - but looks impressive anyway!!! Lol)

If your interested in coming along, then let me know & I will keep you updated etc.

Also if your interested in a remapp & live in the area, then let me know (as we could get a good discount)

Sounds good. They will put the car on the rollers to get the stock figures and then again after the remap to see the power gains. these are always good to have as it gives an accurate gain figure as it is done on the same set of rollers. Dyno lottery and all that malarky.

all u need to say is tht its a economy addition which it is and it shudnt change anythin frm wot i gathered. still gotta inform mine will do it wen my remap is finally finished

il come allong if im free live in blackburn so not far but dont wana remap mine pointless low gains in power as its the 120 dstyle just wana see if i can give it a go on the rolling road??? cheers

I might be up for this but I need to get some damage repaired on my rear bumper first. Want to get that done before I start looking at mods. How much would it cost?

I can't remember who I was with (maybe SwiftCover) but on my Saxo, with its silly wheels/backbox/spoiler they weren't bothered. They said as long as it didn't improve performance it was fine. This was about 6/7 years ago now though. I remember looking for insurance on that and one place went up from about £1000 to about £1800 no matter what sort of mod was applied; even something like a new headunit. I saw a lot of insurers who wanted to know if you had any stickers indicating performance parts too. :-/

Craig, yes the 120bhp petrols can be done - however I believe the remapp is a little more complicated and the gains are only small at around 8bhp - so for the cost... its hardley worth it.

Thanks for finding out. Thats not worth it really 20+ I wouldve came down for it. I had my smart roadster remapped and it was like driving a whole new car, can only imaging what a decent car like these is like tuned.

Believe its possible to get 20/25bhp increase, cost needs to be agreed with garage. would u like me to ask for the exact costings?
